I'm trying something new
A friend of mine turned me on to Tumblr, and I think it will suit my needs better. I'm going to begin posting updates over there and see how I like it. I'm using a theme. This will, of course, change when I have time to sort everything out.
Boycott the AP!
Oh wait, that's not possible, is it? The douchebags are suing Shepard Fairey for his Obama poster.
Thorns of Life, dammit dammit dammit
Hat's off to these guys for keeping it on the down-low; they could be selling out clubs left and right. It's near impossible to find out anything about a show until after it's happened. O was there, were you? Doubt it.

Sun, Snow, Sun. Repeat.
January 23, 2009
December treated us well. Two weeks were spent in remote and not-so-remote regions of Mexico. It was a great trip, and I’m sure the pictures pretty much tell the story: Live on the beach with friends in a kick ass house. Eat, snorkel, scuba, sun, rustle up food, sunset, drinks, games, and more eating. It was amazing.
The day after we returned, we had 13 visitors (family + friends of family) staying with us at various points within the span of six days. That was really fun too. We rode Hyak before the landslide that shut it down for the season.
A week back at work, then I was off to Austin to work out of our studio down south for a few days. Then, back home for a few days...Annie’s first trip to the dog park(!), a trip to the Central Library (finally), repair storm damage, time well spent with my girl, then back to Austin for a week. Now I’m just outside of Philadelphia for more work-related travel, then back to Austin for another week.
I’ve had four great breakfast tacos, and one bad one. Lot’s of mediocre americanos, and some home cooked vegetarian fare. Today I suggested the crew from work visit Tattooed Mom’s for cheesesteaks; had a fantastic gut-bomby veg cheesesteak, waffle fries, and Yuengling. Checked into one of the most depressing hotels ever, and had dinner at Chili’s. It was either that, or Hooters. You get the idea.
It’s been great, a lot of fun. But I’m definitely feeling out of touch with things back home. I hope to spend most of February in Seattle, maybe a little more in Austin for work, and I’ll definitely be back in Texas for SXSW interactive. A friend of mine is graciously loaning me a bike next week, so I’m really looking forward to having some wheels while away from home.
