User Interface Design

- Adobe approached frog to create a prototype that incorporates e-books, education, and PDF technology to demonstrate what the future of textbooks could look like on a capacitive touch tablet. The team was lean, and wore many different hats in order to keep the project on track (we didn't even have a Program Manager). I worked with an Interaction Designer to identify all of the screens necessary to build the prototype, and set deadlines in order to provide enough time for a Technologist to bring everything to life. This work was well received, and earned frog two additional engagements with our client.Note that this project was completed nearly 10 months before Apple released the first iPad.Contributions
- Developed a rich visual language that differentiates Adobe from competitors in the e-book market
- Provided a visual framework that was carried forward on multiple future engagements
- Determined a glide path that accommodated a tight deadline and ensured that our program deliverable was met
- Worked with a Motion Graphics Designer to articulate nuances of the UI and how they come to life
"Great to see you really own this one. Your voice, your vision, dedicated effort...great job." Justin, Creative DirectorMore images of this project:
