One Year and Counting
March 01, 2007
Today marks the one year anniversary of this site, so I'm giving myself a little pat on the back for pluggin along. My updates have been more like a travel log lately, which wasn't my intention, but I'm pressed for time and it's about all I've got.
I spent four nights in Maui last week, returning at the crack of dawn on Monday morning. This was my first trip to Hawaii, and I must say, I'm a fan. If I could drop everything and move there, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The place is that gorgeous. Also, I realized that warm weather pretty much rules, and I'd like to see more of that in the near future. Seattle summers are flat out amazing, but those pesky winter months could stand to be a little shorter. Photos of the trip can be found here, so eat your heart out.
I'm really looking forward to having some semblance of a social life, soon. I've been juggling a full time gig and freelance work since September, just in case things at the office go south. On that note, I also have an interview to prepare for on Monday, and I'm very excited about that opportunity. Keep your fingers crossed. This weekend should be intense.
The SXSW Interactive conference starts next Friday, and I'll be making my first journey to Austin to soak up all the nerdy goodness it has to offer. I'm really looking forward to checking out this city, as I've heard nothing but good things about it. There are also a lot of great panels to check out, and I'm sure a ton of great people to schmooze with. I doubt I'll get a chance to check out any shows prior to the beginning of the music portion of the conference, but here's to hoping.

First of all, nice ass! (on atomic wedgie, that is). Congrats on the job interview. I hope it went well. The Maui pics are gorgeous. It looks like you did a ton in 4 days. And you lucked out on the whales.March 13, 2007 01:27 PM
